Even though there were only two of us, we had a great time. Lot's of art and paddling time. We shared delicious food and drink. Our campfire was beautiful under a starlit, crescent moon night sky. Camping worked great to. Using the barn for the kitchen & bathroom and to get out of the sun to do our art project worked for us too.

Looking forward to doing more of these type of retreats.

Women's Camp-out Retreat

Do you need a little time away from the family or just everyday hassles?
Are you ready for a little "roughing it"?
Join us June 22-24 for a fun-filled weekend of relaxation in nature.
I have received permission to use the BTA Century Barn located next to Tappan Lake in NW Harrison County.
The barn has been beautifully restored and has electric, indoor bathrooms, hot showers, a kitchen and wooden bunks in dorm style rooms. The lake is close enough to walk kayaks over to take a paddle. There is a trail up on the hill in front of the barn that isn't quite complete but makes for a beautiful walk out and back. We will have a campfire each night to relax by.

I am planning a simple art project, of a glue book, for the weekend. It will involve collage and watercolor crayons, and can be worked on all weekend.

To keep expenses down to a minimum, we will all bring food to share. I'll do a sign up as we get closer. There are 2 large refrigerators.

Everyone will be required to either: Join the Buckeye Trail Association for a single adult fee of $20.00 or family of $25.00. You may do this at http://www.buckeyetrail.org/memberform.html OR if you really do not want to join you can make a donation of $20.00 to the BTA during the weekend.

Things you will need: Sleeping bag, sleeping pad or twin size air mattress, pillow, towel and toiletries, breakfast and lunch food.
Things you might want to bring: exercise mat if you want to participate in daily yoga/Pilates type exercise routine, swimming suit, hiking poles, hiking shoes and basic art supplies (scissors, art pens, adhesive, glue sticks, stickers and personal quotes & images).

If kayaking, you will need your own kayak, PFD and paddle and you will be taking total responsibility for yourself while out on the water.

Sign-up by joining: Meetup Group: InSpIRe-Women's Retreats

The charge for this retreat is $25.00 per person.
You can mail me a check or ask for a PayPal invoice. PayPal will be $27.00.
Email me for my address or to request PayPal.
Email if you have any questions. debis7860@yahoo.com

I may up how many can come after I confirm how many bunks have been completed in the dorms. There is also a large area outside the barn for tents or campers.

FALL RETREAT

October 5, 6 & 7, 2012
at The Cabin at the Crossroads
2915 Logan-Thornville Rd NE, Rushville, OH
Price: $245.00 cash or check / $255.00 PayPal

Come enjoy a fall weekend of fun and relaxation.
I want this to be a time to learn, but also to relax and re-charge. So I will not be upset if you decide to not participate in everything I have planned. Above all I want everyone to have a good time and use the weekend for whatever you need right then.
If you have already started your journey towards leading a healthy active life, this is great! If you're not sure what that journey looks like and want to email me for ideas ahead of time, please do so. The type of exercise I plan on using this weekend is part Yoga, part Pilates and mostly using your "core" muscles. We’ll talk about how to stay motivated too. Indoor pool and hot tub to help you relax. Exercise & Stretching activites will be held in the early morning for those interested. Every experience level welcome.

Cooking together! Lots of chopping of fresh food and learning how to put together a quick fresh dinner. Also a fun, decadent dessert, that is still healthy. You’ll be trying new food items and recipes. Take home a folder full of information on cooking fresh and healthy!
An art project that does not require any previous experience or artistic talent. Something new and fun.
Hiking, so bring comfortable shoes and clothing as the weather indicates. Layers are always good! Hiking poles are great too.

Drink - Bringing a bottle of wine to share is fine. We just won't over indulge. :-)
Campfire time if weather allows each evening...Soak in a bubble bath or go to bed early... Curl up on a comfy sofa to watch a chick flick...Whatever you want in the evenings.

To get signed up and be a confirmed guest, email Deb for address to send check or if you want a PayPal invoice. Space is limited, so your RSVP will not be confirmed until deposit is received.

If you are a returning participant, after 4/01/2012, sign up with a $35.00 deposit and you will receive a $15.00 credit towards the price of the October retreat.
Payments of $65.00 each (returning guests), (new) $70.00, will be due: July 15th, August 12th & last payment is due September 9th.

First Retreat

Date: March 16-18, 2012
Location: Cabin at the Crossroads
I am so excited we have a full retreat.
I wanted to let you know a few things about the retreat and what you can expect.

1. I want this to be a time to learn, but also to relax and re-charge. So I will not be upset if you decide to not particpate in everything I have planned. Above all I want everyone to have a good time and use the weekend for whatever you need right then.

2. If you have already started your journey towards leading a healthy active life, this is great! If you're not sure what that journey looks like and want to email me for ideas ahead of time, please do so. The type of exercise I plan on using this weekend is part yoga, part pilates and mostly using your "core" muscles. I have used a book: The Core Program by Peggy W. Brill, P.T. to learn about our core muscles and how to strengthen them. You may be able to find the book at your local library or used book store. I have borrowed lots of exercise DVD's and VHS tapes to find what works for me. I am most happy with Ellen Barrett's style of exercise. I was able to find most of them through my library system. Then purchased the 2 I liked the most. I also used Ana Caban for pilates.

3. Food & Drink - Please email me if you have a food allergy I should be aware of. We are eating healthy and mostly fresh fruits and vegetables with herbal seasonings. I have already told some of you, that bringing a bottle of wine to share is fine. We just won't over indulge. :-)

4. Art projects that do not require any previous experience or artistic talent. Although I believe we all have an inner artist inside us.

5. Hiking, so bring comfotable shoes and clothing as the weather indicates. Layers are always good! Hiking poles are great too.
